IMPROVING SPEAKING SKILL OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN MANADO

Abstrak

Speaking is the one of teaching principle that used in teaching English. This research was done on a belief that Audiolingual Method be able to solve peoples problem in speaking English comunication. This research aimed to improved speaking skill in English lesson by using Audiolingual Method and was conducted with Class Action Research (CAR). The subject of this research was Members’ of International Community in manado year 2018/2019 which consisted of 26 Members. The objective of this research were to help members’ of international community in manado to be able to speak english. This research was conducted in two cycles which each consists’ of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data were gathered through quantitative data. The result showed the increasing of members’ score from the pre-test to post test I there was only 7 Members who got point >70 and 19 Members who fail to gat score >70 . And In the cycle II, was increasing who got scrore and precentation >70 (>15%) is 23 members and the members fail only 3 Porsen it can be concluded 16 members are increasing to be better spaking. Audioligual Method with action learning worked effectively and effeciently in helping Members’ ability in speaking at International Community and this learning has apllied to successfully and able to increased Members’ speaking skill. From the explanation above, the members’ ability in speaking was classified to the good level. Keywords: Audiolingual Method, Members’ Speaking Skill
